I was recently lucky enough to get my hands on the Kat Von D Shade and Light Palette. I'm from the UK so this brand isn't easily accessible here but a friend of mine was visiting New York and knowing my makeup obsession asked me what I wanted from Sephora, such a gem!

I decided to go for this palette after all the rave reviews and I felt the colours were much better for contouring than the Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit, one colour in particular is much more grey toned and perfect for creating shadows on the face.
It cost me around £30 once converted from dollars but I think it was totally worth the price for how many shades you get. I also really love the packaging. Anything black, sleek and edgy is right up my street.
The palette contains 6 colours, three highlighting shades and three contouring/bronzing shades. I really enjoy it too because I can pretty much use every shade within the palette bar one (the bottom right shade.)
The top 3 shades from L to R are Levitation, Lyric and Lucid. I normally use a mix of Levitation and Lucid under my eyes to set my concealer and a mix of the three to set around my t-zone, it all really depends on how tanned I am, if my tan is wearing off I'll use Levitation more.
The bottom 3 shades from L to R are Subconscious, Shadowplay and Sombre. Subconscious is the prefect cool toned brown/grey for contouring, and I love Shadowplay to warm up the face, its a fantastic bronzer!
They are extremely powdery however and its easy to make a mess, if you've already purchased this you'll know what I'm talking about, every time I open up this palette there's powder everywhere! Although I'm slightly worried I'll burn through the shades pretty quickly, the powdery-ness makes them a dream to blend out, no muddy streaky lines for me from now on! I decided not to purchase the brush and just use my real techniques and morphe brushes with them.
If your undecided on whether to get this palette or not I would definitely recommend it, its great value for money!
